One thing I realized in the U.S. was that many women are working powerfully.

Because I hadn’t got a driver’s license at that time, I used a bus tour when I was going to Yosemite National park. The bus driver was a woman, and she was also working as a guide. In Japan, 2 persons are working in each role in many cases (maybe). And I hadn’t seen a woman driver at tours in my life. It made me a little surprised.
The driving is a hard task, you know, the way to go Yosemite is a bit tough. We have to wake up in the early morning, and it takes several hours to get there.
But she fulfilled her job well, not only driving but also explaining about nature that we had been watching. She must be smart and strong.

A few days later, she came back to Yosemite and picked me up. And went on a way to back.
It was almost midnight when I came back to Bay Area, nevertheless, she said, “I will bring you guys to my favorite view.”

She showed us this stunning night view.
I was so glad to see this view and appreciated her services.
I was not sure how many tips should be handed to her (it was their first time receiving this kind of service), so I represented my appreciation as a tip.
