Ad that draw attention
While walking through Milwaukee in the winter, I came across a sign on a street corner that read “HEATED PARKING AVAILABLE.” With its flames illustration and the words “heated parking,” the design almost made me want to quip, “Is the parking lot on fire!?”
I once lived in a snowy region, but I had never seen an ad like this.
“Heated Parking” literally means “heated parking.” However, it doesn’t actually warm up your car—it refers to parking facilities equipped to protect vehicles from the harsh winter conditions. The sign also said “EARLY BIRD $4,” meaning you can get a discounted rate if you enter before 10 a.m. I thought it was a perfect reflection of Milwaukee’s severe winters.
Since I traveled to Milwaukee by train, Metra, I didn’t get a chance to use it myself, but I wanted to see inside.
