On the last night of my stay in Chicago, My Chinese friend invited me to a karaoke party. I found many things that are not only about the U.S. but also Asia(mostly Chinese and Korean are there. ). I went to Chinese-style (?) karaoke. Therefore I need to type song names as Chinese input into the Karaoke machine, My friend helped me do this. Although it is China’s style, I found many Japan’s songs. And what’s more, my friend was able to sing many of them. I felt she is sophisticated. Because She is a Ph.D. student, majoring in economics and speaks Japanese French English,,, it seemed she was busy Not just studying, she knows the culture as well. Most respectful point is that she is enjoying it.
Many Chinese in this country are trying themselves, especially engineering field.
But turns out to Japanese international student, it is much fewer than them and gradually getting few.
We may lose our ambition or hope in our life.
I believe it is coming from economics and social environments. The economic structure in Japan tends to rob this sort of thing from youths. We have to consider it, and why Japan has been without growing up for 30 years.
Anyway, she gave me the motivation to grow up.
If I had half of her vitality, my life would change.
And at the same time, I realized that it’s important to recognize what makes me happy. Because human desires are no limitations. This life in Chicago is absolutely fabulous for me, but it is NOT a necessity. I have the others. History tells us we cannot get all.
